Although there is no requirement identified in the governing documents for VPOA to provide trash service, the current board concluded at the 2025 annual meeting that this service will continue given the multiple benefits to the community overall. Some of the benefits are; 1) Financial benefit over individual contracts, 2) Limits the number of days that trash cans are out in the street, and 3) Limits traffic flow, however, this is affected by the non-VPOA western half of the street, where residents utilize multiple trash service providers. VPOA currently has a contract with Republic Services. This service includes one large trash can and two bags for yard waste. If you prefer Republic Services will deliver a tote for a fee.
