Watering Restrictions

Current Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) limits watering to 3 days per week.  Valley Park has 7 sprinkler controllers, which are set to run during the timeframe allowed.  Additionally the new landscaping company uses a method that brakes up the watering, so that the water has time to soak in and not simply run off. The HOA board will continue to monitor the water usage and implement what works best for our properties.

Property owners are responsible for the cost of their own personal water usage.  Please check the Colorado Springs Utilities webpage for water restrictions by individual Owners with handheld hoses equipped with an active positive shut-off nozzle on their own watering days.

The 6 key Water Wise Rules

1. You may water up to three days a week (Sunday to Saturday). You choose the days.

2. From May 1 to Oct. 15, water before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. to reduce evaporation.

3. Don't let water pool on hard surfaces or flow down gutters.

4. Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days.

5. Use a shut-off nozzle when washing anything with a hose.

6. Clean hard surfaces (such as driveways, sidewalks and patios) with water only if there is a public health and safety concern.
