Valley Park Owners Association


Valley Park Owners Association (VPOA) is located in beautiful Northwestern Colorado Springs, Colorado just off of Woodmen Road (see photos tab for location details). Valley Park is a quiet neighborhood with great view of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains.  Our community has easy access to shopping, downtown and I-25, making it a great place to live.

Trash Service Swap
Sunday, 30Aug - American Sanitation bins were delivered. ***************** Monday, 31Aug Last Republic Service trash pick-up *********** Tuesday, 1 Sep, Republic Services Territorial Executive stated they will pick up the Republic labeled bins and the old Best Way and GFL bins, unless you would like to keep them. Republic intends to simply toss out the other branded bins. *********** Monday, 7Sep American Sanitation will begin pick up for trash. *TBD, American Sanitation will offer recycling to anyone who wants to switch. This is not an HOA provided services, however, with the new Colorado State recycling program this will be at little or no cost to owners. The only other stipulation will be the service is every 2 weeks vice every week. *********** Email ValleyParkOwnersAssociation@gmail.com if you have questions, would like to participate in the recycling, or would like to keep you current trash bin/s, unless they are Republic bins.
CoS Tree Guidance
Tree Trimming (https://cityrulelookup.com/blog/landscaping-rules-in-colorado-springs-co) City Code requires trees to be kept trimmed to at least 14 feet of clearance over streets and 8 feet of clearance over sidewalks. Property owners are responsible for pruning the street trees and right-of-way vegetation adjoining their property to maintain these clearances. Key details: Clearance over streets: At least 14 feet. Clearance over sidewalks: At least 8 feet. Owner responsibility: Maintain street trees and right-of-way vegetation adjoining the property. Pruning program: Request-based; limited City Tree Pruning Program as budget allows. Contractor license: Tree Service License required (City Clerk). Vegetation that blocks the required street or sidewalk clearance is enforced as a code violation by Neighborhood Services / Forestry. The owner is notified to bring the tree into clearance; if not corrected, the City may prune the obstruction and may bill the cost to the owner. Code Enforcement intake is (719) 444-7891....Read More
Special Notice

USPS Clustbox was removed 27May. Residents using this box must go to the Centennial Post Office located at 5001 Centennial Blvd for their mail, however, once per week the carrier will attempt to deliver mail to your door thanks to an owner request. *UPDATE--the postman stated he would be out of town for couple weeks, so likely nobody will do the 1/wk delivery. Also, he relayed that he was told it would take awhile before they replace it....Read More
